How to identify a suitable beam clamp.

Start with the beam flange geometry and the intended attachment. Confirm where the clamp can be installed, the rod or fastener size, the load direction and the environmental finish requirement. Do not select a clamp only by appearance.

Plain, plated, painted or galvanized?

The finish should match the exposure, appearance, service life and compatibility requirements of the project. State whether the hardware is used indoors, outdoors, in a humid environment or near incompatible materials. A named finish alone may not define coating thickness or test criteria.

What to send for a custom part.

Include the drawing revision, material, critical tolerances, finish, inspection requirements, prototype quantity and annual demand. If no drawing exists, clear photos with reference dimensions and a description of the part’s function are a useful starting point.
